Kevin Walsh (born 1969 in Killanin, County Galway) is an Irish Gaelic football manager and former player. He is the current manager of the Sligo senior football team.

Playing career

An effective midfielder, Walsh enjoyed a successful playing career at club level with Killanin and at inter-county level with Galway. He was a key member of the latter team during the late 1990s and collected two All-Ireland titles and four Connacht titles during his career.[1] He also won an All-Ireland Minor Football Championship medal in 1986.

Coaching career

Club

In retirement from inter-county activity Walsh became involved in coaching. He had been in charge of the Aran Islands junior footballers in 2008.

Connacht

He was a selector with the Connacht inter-provincial team for a number of seasons.

Galway Ladies

Walsh was also involved with the Galway ladies footballers'

Sligo

He was appointed manager of the Sligo senior football team in November 2008.

He led Sligo from Division 4 to Division 2 of the National Football League in his first two years in charge winning the Division 4 and 3 titles in the process. He also lead Sligo to the Connacht Junior Football Championship & All-Ireland Junior Football Championship in 2010.
